MGH/McLean Child Psychiatry
The Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean
Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Training Program
is in depth and designed to offer residents a well-balanced clinical
experience, exposure to normal and abnormal children and families for
diagnostic assessment, treatment and prevention of psychopathology,
a formal curriculum covering major areas in child and adolescent psychiatry,
supervision in outpatient, inpatient, acute residential and partial
hospital settings and consultation experiences in the context of a graduated
learning experience throughout the two training years. Residents will
develop growing competence in clinical service, consultation, teaching,
research and administration.
This site's primary audience is young doctors applying to the Boston,
Massachusetts area medical residency program. The massive information
pertaining to this program needed to be well organized with a "kid
feel." This site follow suits with other MGH Department web sites
by incorporating the MCD Studio created standard Banner. The MGH Banner
needed to be at the top, but the color could vary. MCD Studio used a
child's drawing for each section to match a brochure previously designed
by MCD. Each section is color coded for ease of usability and has a
drawing to identify that section. The colorful palette is indicative
for the "kid feel." The navigation section on the left of
the site pages enables the user to weed thru the informative data on
everything from affiliated medical facilities, professionalism, clinical
rotations to related web site links.
